14 days with Oatmeal

After my morning meditation and my Tea I would usually head straight to the gym and even though this has worked for me for quite some time I found

myself feeling very tired, slow, and hungry. I decided to go back to a time where I was trying to lose weight because I felt like switching up my morning routine but still keeping the health factor in place.

For a while now I pretty much have been eating whatever - whenever- however much as long as it was vegan OR some kind of seafood (on occasion).

So back to the point- Oatmeal. I thought to myself YUCK..but even the first day of having it - I felt so much better in the gym, and I stayed full until the evening (after my post workout shake).

SO here is what I ate for the last 2 weeks:

Breakfast Hot Tea with a generous tablespoon of honey.

(Before or after the gym depending on what time I was getting there. Sometimes I would have a couple spoons before the gym and the rest after)

1 cup of Oatmeal with Walnuts, Craisins, Apples, Cinnamon and Coconut Sugar.

Lunch: Protein Shake with a Banana, Oat Milk and Dates.

Dinner: I pretty much ate anything.

I lost 5 pounds and I didn't even notice until I tried on a pair of pants there were a little snug on me. ( I am usually in comfortable oversized clothes- this can be dangerous because you also can get fat without noticing lol BUT! anyways.... not only did I lose 5 pounds I felt so much better! Overall, I felt like my energy was better, I was attracting really good things- new things - new ideas, I felt unstuck.

Being in the same routine can make you feel so bored sometimes and feel stuck so this definitely switched things up for me!

I started researching Oatmeal because I was curious to find out more about it and I found that it's literally one of the best- if not the best option for breakfast.

Oatmeal is a superfood, it has many benefits and it is preferred by a lot of endurance athletes.

Well! I believe it !

Here are some quick facts about Oatmeal :

It has as much protein as 1 Large Egg

It has a great amount of fiber

It contains antioxidants

For the sugar addicts- it can help avoid cravings due to a drop in blood sugar. ( I have noticed I am reaching less for ice cream in the middle of the night)

So anyways! I just wanted to share because I truly am excited and had forgotten how much I used to look forward to my Oatmeal. Making the choice every morning to have oatmeal instead of the avocado toast or even the occasional bagel with vegan cream cheese makes me feel great about myself!

I'm also forgetting to add that walnuts, apples, craisins and cinnamon are all great for you as well!

Cinnamon helps speed up your metabolism, Walnuts are a super plant source of Omega 3's, Craisins are high in sugar so be careful not to add too many - now reading into this a little more I am probably going to switch them out for raisins.

Another little secret I will let you guys in on! I use this with cinnamon instead of brown Sugar and It's sooo yummy!

:)

I hope you guys enjoyed, Thank you for reading.
